Sidelight
Info
Sidelight is a data-driven lamp that turns sleep tracker data into a continuous modulation of light and material qualities. The design confronts the binary logic of sleep data—reflected in the lamp's illumination—with the real life, nuanced experience of falling asleep. Reacting to the lamp's heat, a thermochromatic coating filters the light through ever-changing shades, evoking the sleeper's slow drift of consciousness.
